Bangkok has a hot climate all year round with temperatures often ranging between 25 and 35°C (95°F) . However, some seasons are more pleasant than others for a trip, and this is the case with the dry season.
Therefore, the best time to visit Bangkok is from mid-November to the end of March. Indeed, it is during this season that temperatures are lower and the weather less rainy. January and February are the best months weather-wise, with particularly dry weather and temperatures ranging from 25 to 33°C (92°F) .
Nevertheless, if you are wondering when to go to Bangkok, November could also be a good choice. Although showers are a bit more common, you can experience the Lantern Festival, Loy Krathong, which is undoubtedly the most beautiful festival in the country.

On the other hand, while showers are rare in April, they become significant from May onwards. This marks the beginning of the monsoon, with around 14 days of rain per month from May to August.
During this period, precipitation is of high intensity, coming in the form of showers or thunderstorms. There are approximately 200mm of rain or more per month from May to August. Therefore, an umbrella will be essential if you plan to travel during this period. In terms of temperatures, the heat persists but decreases slightly with the arrival of rain, with an average of 27 to 33°C (92°F) .
However, September and October are months when precipitation intensity reaches its peak. There are about 15 to 20 days of rain per month. The volume is also significant, with over 400mm of precipitation in October in Bangkok. The climate in Bangkok is very unfavorable for a stay.
Moreover, with the Chao Praya River running through the city, flooding is common. Indeed, heavy precipitation leads to rising waters. It is not uncommon to have to walk through knee-deep water in certain areas of Bangkok during this season.
