When is the best time to go to the Bahamas?
There is practically year-round sunshine in the Bahamas and with an average temperature between 26 and 32° C, the heat is definitely on the program. The entire year presents a good time to visit the Bahamas. However, as the period from mid-December to late April is the peak tourist season, expect to have crowds on the beaches and encumbering other attractions. If you like the excitement of the cheering crowds, arrange for your stay to coincide with the period of Junkanoo, a party linked to the Bahamian culture that causes a large influx of tourists. The rest of the year, beaches and tourist attractions are less crowded except during the Easter season and Pentecost Monday, as Bahamians take advantage of these holidays for a picnic with the family. The period between May and November is certainly more rainy, but the rains are not sufficient enough to dissuade or to prevent anyone from enjoying the day, having fun and relaxing.

Climate and Weather in the Bahamas
A true little paradise, lost in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and close to the United States, Haiti and the island of Cuba, the Bahamas benefit from a pleasant weather and sunshine for the greater part of the time. The 700 islands of the archipelago, located just one hour from Miami, benefit from a minimum of seven hours of sunshine throughout the winter and nothing short of nine hours in spring and early summer. With very mild temperatures in winter (around 16-17° C) and hot, but bearable temperatures in the summer (no more than 32° C), it would be a shame to deprive anyone of a small passage through the Bahamas when looking for lenient and warm weather.
The rest of the year, between the months of June and October, it rains about every other day but especially at night or in the evening, which fortunately does not spoil your stay. If you desire to visit, know that the best time to enjoy the best climate of the Bahamas is generally from April to August, with pleasant temperatures and strong sunlight.
Lenient, the climate of the Bahamas is characterized by the presence of the Gulf Stream as well as a large quantity of coral reefs that protect the eastern shores of the islands from hurricanes, just as they do in the capital, Nassau. It is also the southern cities, such as Abraham's Bay or Matthew Town, that are most affected by these natural disasters. The hurricane season, for its part, ranges from June to October and the risk for cyclones can sometimes extend to mid-November, depending on the year.
