  • Lot-et-Garonne is located in an oceanic climatic zone, but degraded compared to the Atlantic coast. Thus, the annual temperature range is more pronounced and precipitation is less abundant than on the coast.
  • In Tarn, the climate is of a degraded oceanic type, with Mediterranean influences towards Albi, especially when the Autan wind blows. Between spring and autumn, it is not uncommon for thunderstorms, sometimes accompanied by hail, to occur.
  • Western Aude has a predominantly Aquitaine climate. Around Carcassonne, rain and wind are often present. It is also one of the windiest French departments with 300 to 350 windy days per year, mainly due to the northern and southern reliefs that form a corridor.
