The climate in Thailand throughout October is marked by a decrease in rainfall throughout Central, North and Northeast Siam. Temperatures are slightly cooler and this is a good time for a vacation. On the other hand, the South is behaving the opposite, with a renewal of showers for this last month of the wet season.

Bangkok and the Center of Thailand in October

The monsoon is dissipating and the climate in the capital recovers, with less frequent rains. The Central Provinces continue to dry up and the clouds finally leave the sky. The nocturnal temperatures show a decrease of two degrees while the days remain warm with peaks at 32-33° C. This is the ideal time to discover lush national parks and impressive waterfalls. By cons, the weather in Bangkok throughout October is not yet ideal: the air is still as heavy and humidity is very present.

East of Thailand in October

Count a dozen days with showers in Koh Chang, where hotels begin to resume their activities - put on standby since June. With a daily average of 26° C and water at 29° C, it is good to return to this part of the Gulf of Thailand, especially at the end of the month. The climate in Pattaya is still very hot and rainy.

Northern Thailand in October

The northern sky gets rid of its cloudy covering and the temperatures drop significantly (average of 27-28° C in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai). The air loses the oppressive heat of previous months and becomes bearable once again. As there are still only a few tourist at this time, the region of the North is an excellent destination throughout October.

Northeast Thailand in October

Like its northern neighbor, the Northeast region dries up and temperatures follow the movement, offering a range from 22° C at night to around 31° C during the day. The end of the rainy season is also noticeable, thanks to an air that is finally losing its heaviness as well as an increasing sunshine as November approaches.

Southeast Thailand in October

The southeastern climate in October sees a significant increase in precipitation. The low temperature drop (minus one degree on average in Koh Samui, for a maximum in daytime of 30° C) is not sufficient to fight the the general heat. October is the second most wet month in the year; it is therefore better to opt for a stay further north on the Gulf Coast.

Southwestern Thailand in October

The climate of October differs little from that of September: the monsoon still makes its own and the rain is the honor in the Southwest. Humidity is at its maximum in Phuket and Koh Lanta, with a generally oppressive air. Temperatures range from 24° C during the night to 31° C during the day.
