The best time to travel to Belize, to spend holidays in the sun and enjoy the pleasant warmth is the dry season, which ranges from mid-December to April. The highest peak of tourists is however observed between the months of February and April. In addition to the superb weather conditions that greatly encourages attendance at the beach, festivals and other events like the carnival that precedes Lent and Holy Week just before Easter also attract crowds of visitors. Climate and Weather in Belize

Belize is a small country located on the east coast of Central America. It shares a land border with Mexico to the north and Guatemala to the west, but also a maritime border with Honduras and the towns of Punta Gorda and Puerto Cortés are practically directly in front.

Belize's climate is tropical and therefore has only two seasons, a rainy season and a dry season. The temperature differences are rather weak during the year and the rains are generally higher in the south (between Belmopan and Aguacate) than in the north (between Corozal and Belize City).

Belize's weather is hot and humid during the rainy season, which occurs between the months of May and January. The temperatures are very hot and there exists a very heavy rainfall from May to September. The rest of the season, which is less rainy is also accompanied by warm temperatures. Note that July is the wettest month, a period that should generally be avoided for a vacation in Belize.

Belize's climate is warmer during the dry season which runs between February and April. Precipitation is moderate at this time and temperatures appear beautiful and warm. March is the driest month of the year. April is very hot, but rainfall happens to also be very present. In the end, it seems that the month of March is the most conducive for the exploration of this country.
